The Lack of Something makes a Sound (2024)
The Lack of Something Makes a Sound is a project created in collaboration with the creative theater L'Oriental in Vevey. It was showcased as part of a group exhibition at the Images Vevey 2024 festival.
I'm interested in using the body and dance as a means to tell a story outside of its original context. This project draws inspiration from Dialect by photographer Felipe Romero Beltran. How can actors, with only their bodies, suggest a narrative? Does the absence of context, setting, and temporality help the audience grasp the artist's original intent, or does it instead evoke a new interpretation?
The Lack of Something Makes a Sound explores these questions within a photographic closed set in collaboration with four theater and dance companies.
